Whats not to like at The Fatty Bao Sangam

It was flavoursome and  fun eating at The Fatty Bao at Sangam Courtyard , New Delhi,  the new dining hub in the Capital. I found this new Asian dining combined interesting new recipes with a happy relaxed yet zesty setting. Fatty Bao with its adventurous Asian flavours  is a subsidary of   Olive Bar & Kitchen Pvt. Ltd.) and is spearheaded by the same team as that other lively place The Monkey Bar .

This new gastropub  is  perfect for a  chic dining experience when you want to enjoy a innovative meal  with friends in a lively ambience at a pretty comfortable price . Not surprisingly it was well occupied even on a workday night!  Try the a yuzu-laced mojito , the aromatic  Chasu Ramen, and the melt in the mouth Pork Belly. Then you can go on to  Char Siu Bao,  Salmon Carpaccio and Japanese Cheesecake and  a  selection of innovative desserts. like the Zen Forest  For the spirited there is a cosy little outdoor bar, with its cosy seating, serving  first class spirits sensual cocktails  and fine wines.

I learnt the quirky creative   and out of the box interiors owe their uniqueness to  fashion designer Anshu Arora, and Ayeshe Sadr and Ishaan Dasgupta of 211 Studio who have brought alive the walls with art. The boat shaped space inspires elements of a submarine – from round windows, a semi-enclosed dining space, an indoor and outdoor bar – flanked by a giant wave graphic and delightful murals.

The Fatty Bao, combines an element of fun with quality  dining and fresh recipes.  And what can one say to that except Bao Wow !
