Delightful Dining at Pullman, New Delhi Aerocity.

This festive season kicked off with a lovely lunch at Pluck the eatery with an in -house farm at the Pullman Novotel New Delhi Aerocity. Being in close proximity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport, the property is within driving distance from the business hubs of Gurgaon and New Delhi. This incidently is the 100th Pullman  with  270 rooms with splendid views of the airport runway from the suite rooms thoughtfully equipped with amenities like a wide working desk, Bose sound link II and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Though I dined at Pluck, the hotel offers an extensive selection of dining options  like the Cafe Pluck, a stylish go-grab delicatessen café  with a variety of tea, coffee and other beverages along with freshly baked delicacies. In the evening the chic café doubles up into a dessert tapas bar. There is also the  hotel’s signature Asian bistro,  Honk is a melting pot of flavours with an indoor and alfresco seating offering Asian inspired street food cuisine. The luxe lounge Pling  showcases a fine selection of wines with the signature ‘Vinoteca by Pullman’ concept which offers a collection of international vintage wines and assortment of scrumptious Tapas; a sophisticated retreat to unwind with friends and business associates, alike.

Chef Ajay Anand  turned  out to be a familiar face  since I had met him while on a cruise on a Carnival ship during a visit to the US. In sync with the hotel’s farm-to-table approach, Chef Ajay cooking style draws upon the techniques and flavors from cultures around the world, but is rooted in classic French traditions. He endeavours to balance European traditionalism with Asian minimalism & American ingenuity with an emphasis on innovative use of healthy fresh foodstuffs: free-range meats, tree ripened fruits, and organic vegetables form the heart of his cooking.

Another lovely feature of the hotel is its  lobby with its 6000 rain drop twinkling lights shower installation on the ceiling is lovely to behold and a complement to  the peacock theme for the interiors of the hotel.

The best part of a Pullman visit is the posh and stylish tailored experience at a price that makes it a delightful experince. Whats more Chef anand also promises that even for on residents the hotel’s restaurants will offer a  distinctive and unique dining experience at a price that will invite everyone to taste it!

  1. Great article Shashi. Can very well relate to being educated and experienced in the same Industry. Loved to have seen pictures of the “in house farm.”
