It was smiles all around this Sunday, March 19 at Dr. Ekta Chadha’s Smile Studio in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash.  The concept was Stay Healthy to Live Your Best Life, and there was a lot of activity in the studio – a team of doctors were seen helping a gathering of a motley crowd know the state of their health. Dr. Ekta, a Consultant Aesthetic Dental Surgeon and the Smile Designer who is the founder of the Smile Studio, was personally greeting everybody. She was also available for consultation, as were her husband Dr. Gaggan Chadha, Senior Consultant Orthopedics of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Dr. Rajneesh Jain, Senior Interventional Cardiologist of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Dr. Ridwana Sanam, entrepreneur, founder and Managing director of KRV Healthcare and Physiotherapy Pvt Ltd, Nutritionist and weight management consultant Kavita Devgan and Naturalist and beauty expert Suparna Trikha.  As living the best life cannot be without looking the best, Suparna’s natural hair and skin care products available in stalls outside were high in demand. There were also complimentary diabetes and lipid profile test and hence the experts were quite busy answering the questions.

There was a distinct positive vibe – the impeccably done up interiors with brightly lit cheerful cabins set the mood. Quite contrary to the fact that so many people gathered there with health issues, in quest of a healthy lifestyle, I found the gathering happy and carefree as was reflected by the sunny Sunday morning. As Dr. Ekta explained, “We are not driven by any commercial purpose and the goal of this event is to create awareness about the importance of health,” the get together successfully achieved that. A lavishly laid out brunch menu added its bit. Perhaps the smartly dressed lady donning a pair of dangerously high heels best exemplified the mood when she talked about her recent fracture of the ankle and commented with a pretty smile, “I put this pair on today because my Doctor is here.” Well, that sums up the spirit of the day.
