Today The Stage Belongs To Atisha Pratap Singh

The very first time I had seen Atisha  was as a pretty ( even more true now) child dangling on her mom’s lap.  And the baby has come a long way now as she prepares to forge  a new identity as  the newest dancer on the block. In this she is  strengthened by the fact that Atisha Pratap Singh is disciple of legendary dancing couple Drs. Raja-Radha Reddy and Kuchipudi exponent Kaushalya Reddy. Atisha will be presenting Rangapravesam – solo debut concert   (Ranga means Stage and Pravesam means Entry“) specially choreographed by her Gurus on Monday the 15th of May 2017 @ Kamani Auditorium @  6.30 pm . Watching her on stage will be luninaries such as her parents Neelam  & Rajiv Pratap Rudy, (she is their younger daughter) and Chief Guest Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of Urban Development of India .

Mother Neelam informs that Atisha, (Angel as she is known at home)  has shifted residence to her gurus home at their Kuchipudi academy in Saket as she is practising for several hours a day for her debut. Such serious committment will surely pay rich dividends as we watch her perform later this evening. More about the young disciple –

She has been  under the tutelage of Drs Raja-Radha Reddy & Kaushalya Reddy for 13 years and also has been travelling with her Gurus Nationally and Internationally as an integral part of their productions.

Deeply thankful to her gurus, the illustrous Reddys,  Atisha expresses her feeling, “I would really like to thank  my gurus Raja and Radha Reddy for so many positive aspects that helped me in becoming who I am today. Dance has always had and will always have a special place in my heart.”  Her favourite dance memory is being felicitated by President Kalam when she was just 3! May her  passion and dancing feet take her to the pinnacle of success!Kuchipudi Dancer Atisha Pratap Singh (3)Kuchipudi Dancer Atisha Pratap Singh (2)
