
It was a fun sun N sports afternoon at Kicksal, a state-of-the-art sports development facility by JR Sports, at the kick off of the first edition of Football 9 by 9 league- K9, in Delhi. Dushyant Chautala, Deputy Chief Minister, Haryana , pop singer Lekka and Aveka Singh (Delhi Youth Football) added star value to the event.
K9, is a 9 versus 9 Football League organised by JR Sports & Leisure LLP at Kicksal, Chattarpur. This will be Delhi’s first 9v9 semi-professional football league being organised on a FIFA approved Artificial Turf.
Encouragement to sports is surely a priority area. As Dushyant Chautala pointed out “Sports has to be a way of life for every Indian and the Government too wants to have more growth opportunities and platforms for everyone. Such initiatives will be key and incremental for building the sports economy and how it can contribute to India’s growth story.”
Ritesh Tokas of JR Sports expanded, “We have been working with a passion to instill a massive sports culture in the city. Using our experiences in this space, we want to develop sports at the grassroots level in the country, with a special focus on football. We have introduced unique new formats like the K9 and leagues in the region to nurture budding athletes at the grassroots level and make them ambitious sportspersons. “
A music performance by international pop singers Lekka and Jey added oomp factor to the sport.
Kicksal offers world class infrastructure and services in leading sports such as football, cricket and paintball. The facility is managed by JR Sports, a conglomerate aspiring to build a healthy and economically viable sporting system which is affordable and inclusive for all.
